I was born and raised in Flushing, Queens, New York. I started boxing at Church St. in 2006. In 2008 I met Jason Strout, and I competed under him for 4 years. I had 11 fights, 6 wins – 5 losses. I began working at Church St. in 2010 starting as a substitute before making it a full time career.
I also danced Salsa for 5–6 years. I like to use a mix of boxing, rhythm, and dance drills to enhance my students’ coordination, and develop a type of grace within. I’ve sparred thousands of rounds between both boxing and kickboxing and I’ve watched countless hours of tape, to guarantee my students’ success.
With over 20 years experience, I still consider myself a student of the game, and I’m always experimenting and learning new ways to communicate with my students to guide them through their boxing journey.
